Early Elementary Admissions

Families will complete and submit the Early Elementary Application Packet along with the required application fee and enrollment documents.

Required materials include:
• Completed application forms​​​​​​
• Signed financial contract
​​​​​​​• Referral
• Tuition and payment selection forms
• Parent/guardian signatures on all required pages

A $250 non-refundable application fee is due at the time of submission.

Priority Enrollment for current DKH families begins the first Monday in February each year.

Open Enrollment for new DKH families and families with non-continuous enrollment begins the first Monday in March and continues based on program availability.

New-to-DKH students are invited to participate in a classroom observation experience where they spend time visiting and engaging within an Early Elementary classroom environment.

This visit allows our teachers and admissions team to observe how children interact within the classroom setting, engage with peers, participate in activities, follow routines, and respond to the learning environment.

Current DKH students are observed naturally throughout the school year by their teachers as part of the placement and admissions review process.

Our goal is to create a welcoming, comfortable experience that helps us better understand each child’s personality, readiness, and learning style.

As part of the admissions process, students participate in a developmentally appropriate screener designed to help us better understand each child’s academic foundation, communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and overall developmental readiness.

This session is intentionally designed to feel relaxed, supportive, and age-appropriate rather than formal or high-pressure.

Developmental screeners are completed after application submission. DKH Admissions will contact families directly to schedule.

The developmental screener helps ensure students are placed in the environment where they will feel confident, supported, and successful.

Families will receive communication regarding admissions decisions, placement recommendations, enrollment timelines, and next steps following completion of the admissions review process.

Our admissions team will guide families through each step and help ensure the transition into Early Elementary feels welcoming, thoughtful, and supportive.
